Workforce is a multi-sector recruitment specialist, who caters for the IT market, manufacturing, engineering and the construction industry, as well as professional services.
Workforce required a website re-design with additional online functionality and a complete back-office system to manage their day-to-day processes, communication, job applications and vacancies.

SQL Server, C#, XML, XSL
Workforce required three key elements:
1. Website design & development
2. Web application to handle online timesheets, job applications, vacancy & CV upload tools
3. Back-office system for the day to day running of the business
MDB created a new web design, to incorporate the IT sector – a new recruitment area for Workforce. The look needed to exude professionalism, ease of navigation and a clear distinction between the candidate and employer section.
Online functionality needed to incorporate timesheets, vacancy and CV uploads and online job applications. This functionality resulted in more than half of Workforce’s manual data entry being eliminated, along with improved efficiencies and data accuracy.
The new back-office system handles:
- Customer relationship management including all internal & external communication
- Skill matching candidates skills to an available position
- Reports
- Search function for skills, job positions and availability status
- Recruitment history
- Personal details
It serves as one central repository for all essential business information. Timesheets, vacancy and CV uploads as well as job applications from the site fed into this system.
The end result meant Workforce could spend more time focussing on their recruitment services and less on time-consuming admin duties. Overall Workforce reduced the daily time they spent on admin duties by over 50% and attracted 40% more candidates and employers through the website.
